Brazil will switch clocks from daylight saving time to standard time in February. The states that are following daylight saving time in Brazil, will fall back to standard time on 17th February at midnight. The clocks will be moved one hour backwards from 12:00 am of 17th February to 11:00 pm of 16th February.
According to Energy Ministry of Brazil, the use of daylight saving time (DST) will reduce electricity consumption by 5% during peak hours and by 0.5% overall in Brazil.
