The government of Morocco has announced to extend daylight saving time till Sunday, October 27, 2013. The announcement came only one day before the scheduled time change to standard time.
The government also proclaimed that Morocco will follow a new daylight saving time schedule in the future years that begins at 2 a.m. on the last Sunday of March and lasts till 3 a.m. on the last Sunday of October.
Morocco has changed to daylight saving time (DST) already twice this year. First clock change to DST was on April 28. This DST period lasted till the beginning of the Ramadan. The Holy month of Ramadan was spent in standard time and right at the end of the Ramadan the clocks were switched back to daylight saving time.
This second part of the Moroccan daylight saving time during this year will continue till 3 a.m. of the last Sunday of October 2013 (that is October 27, 2013).
