In Morocco the clocks will be adjusted to daylight saving time at the end of April, and back to standard time on the last Sunday in September. During the holy month Ramadan, standard time will be used.
This year the switch to daylight saving time will happen on Sunday 29th of April at 02:00, the clocks will be moved one hour forward at the given moment. The move back to standard time will occur on 30th September at 03:00, this time the clocks will be adjusted one hour backwards.
The minister in charge of Civil Service and the Administration Modernization explained, that daylight saving time will increase Morocco's economic competitiveness through energy savings. The savings will be 140 megawatts at peak time, which will also have a positive impact on the environment.
