The current energy crises is affecting the economy in Chile. The Chilean government has announced new end date for this year daylight saving time. The information is following:
The end date of the DST period in 2011
For the mainland and Chilean Antarctica the new end date is 7th May 2011, which is the first Saturday of May. The clocks go back from 24:00 to 23:00 of the same day.
For the Easter Island and Salas y Gómez Island the new end date is the same as for the main land, 7th May 2011. The clocks go back from 22:00 to 21:00 of the same day.
The start date of the DST period in 2011
For the mainland and Chilean Antarctica the new start date is 20th August 2011, which is the third Saturday of August. The clocks go forward from 24:00 to 01:00 of the next day.
For the Easter Island and Salas y Gómez Island the new start date is 20th August 2011. The clocks go forward from 22:00 to 23:00 of the same day.
