USA and Canada will move back to standard time on Sunday morning at 02:00 a.m., November 3, 2013. The clocks will be moved one hour backwards. This way the sun is up an hour earlier and down an hour earlier.

Most parts of the United States and Canada are following daylight saving time. Therefore most of the areas are affected.

The areas in the States that do not follow DST:

  • Arizona (except the Navajo Nation)
  • Hawaii
  • American Samoa
  • Guam
  • Northern Mariana Islands
  • Puerto Rico
  • Virgin Islands of the United States.

The areas in Canada that do not follow DST:

  • A few areas in British Columbia (East Kootenay region and part of the Peace River Regional District)
  • Pickle Lake, New Osnaburgh, and Atikokan in Northwestern Ontario
  • Saskatchewan
  • Some areas in Quebec from east of 63° west longitude
  • Southampton Island.
